📄 Overview

Titipku is an app for shopping from traditional and modern markets. This market shopping business model was adopted in 2020. Before that, Titipku's business model focused on digitizing MSMEs by involving contributors to collect data. After several pilot trials, Titipku found a business model that allows users to shop from multiple vendors while only paying for a single shipping fee.

☹️ Problem

  • The website is no longer relevant due to changes in the business model.

  • A redesign is necessary to give the website a fresher, more modern look.

🫡 Role and Responsibilities

  • Redesign the website to align with the updated business model.

  • Communicate with the marketing department to ensure the website reflects what is being marketed.

  • Deliver design assets to the web development team for implementation.

NOTE: In this project, I worked on redesigning not only the homepage but also several other pages, including the blog, promo, and pricing information pages. However, this case study will focus specifically on the homepage redesign. To see all pages click here

🎯 Goal

  • Drive app installs by redirecting users to the App Store/Play Store.

  • Refresh the design to align with updated branding.

  • Provide clear information on the new business model.

The Process 👨‍💻

Wireframing

Wireframing

UX writer and I brainstormed together to create the initial wireframe. Once it was ready, we had a meeting with the marketing team to gather their input. Based on their feedback, we made adjustments in the second wireframe iteration:

  1. Moved social proof (testimonials from influencers/celebrities) to the above-the-fold section.

  2. Replaced the header image with a video thumbnail.

  3. Some copywriting adjustment.

  4. Add section for SEO purpose.

After finalizing and getting approval for the wireframe, I moved on to creating the high-fidelity design. I explored multiple iterations and design options to ensure the best possible outcome.

A/B Testing

A/B Testing

I created two options for the video thumbnail in the header. After conducting an internal survey, Option B was found to be more visually engaging and clearly recognizable as a clickable video thumbnail.
